Hello and welcome to my blog!

I created this site to share photos and stories from my adventures around the world, including race recaps, fishing expedition reports, mountain adventures, and other travel experiences.

Blog posts are organized by category (“race recaps”, “trails”, “summits”, “travel” or “fishing”). Recaps of ultramarathons, triathlons, and other races are housed in “race recaps”, as are some other adventures like FKT attempts and running rim-to-rim-to-rim at the Grand Canyon. Posts in the “trails” category are set up differently in that these are continuously updated logs of progress towards completing long trails. Entries that cover adventures to the peaks of significant mountains (Colorado 14ers, country high points, etc.) are in the “summits” category. “Fishing” captures my angling exploits. The “Travel” category is sort of a catch-all for other adventures, and often overlaps with the other categories.

The “Adventure Stats” page displays a “where-I’ve-been” map, my fastest times (PRs) for various run/cycle/swim distances, notable mountain summits, a checklist of National Parks I’ve been to, and my log of SCUBA dives. My “Fishing Lifelist” presents a record of the 583 fish species I’ve caught to date via hook-and-line angling, in table format (with catch statistics and hyperlinked photos for each species).
